Gladys (Billie) Ballou was born on 17 Jul 1912 in Seneca, Illinois. She died on 15 May 2003 in Kalispell, Montana. She was buried in Musselshell Cemetery, Musselshell, Montana. She married Clayton Morgan Jensen on 14 Aug 1930 in Lewistown, Montana, u.S.a..

Carole shared the following information which she put together for her children and their cousins:

"While reviewing some of Grandma Jensen's records, I put together some of the information I thought might be of interest. TRANSPORTATION: NEW VEHICLES 1945 Chevy--$1,048.80--7/24/46---Purchased after WWII 1949 Chevy--$950--(mid-blue)--traded in 46 Chevy--Roger took it to college in 1953 and had it painted black 1952 Chevy truck--$2185--(dark green) this truck was around until the 1984 farm auction 1953 Chevy--$1,509--(Grass green) 1956 Chevy--$1,500--(Gold and light yellow) 1961 Chevy--$2,049--(Turquoise)--totalled in a wreck in August, 1963 (Billie cut her eye ad spent several days in the hospital.) We were hit (head on) on the Musselshell road by Francis Turley, a neighbor who was a boxer and once fought a Golden Gloves match with Cassius Clay (before he became Muhammed Ali.) Carole was driving, sustained minor injuries, and since then has a penchant for gasping during tight road situations, much to the dismay of various drivers. After I learned to drive, I never again rode with my mother. When she bought a new car in 1991, Pat and I went with her, drove the car, she purchased it and we delivered it to her house. It wasn¹t until after we left that she drove it. During our time there we saw New York on a Sunday, rode the ferry to the Statue of Liberty, went up in the Empire State Building, and drove to Norwalk, Connecticut, to see Grandpa¹s Sunt Gertruyde. Roger and Clayton went to a basketball game at Madison Square Garden. Jensen died, his estate, which consisted of land, was left to his children, Bernice and Clayton, and to Robert Bohn, an orphaned grandson whom he had raised and who lived and farmed with him after his wife died. Bernice and Clayton each chipped in $125 so the remaining 5 grandchildren cound have an inheritance of $50 each from their grandfather. Those receiving money on 3/26/60 were: Keith Bohn (Robert¹s brother, who was also raised by his grandparents), Gloria Olson, Graeme Galbraith (Bernice¹s children), Roger and Carole."

Roger Dale Jensen [Parents] [scrapbook] was born on 20 Sep 1935 in Billings, Montana. He died on 8 Feb 2004 in Montana. He married Irvona Mariner on 28 Dec 1955 in Hysham, Montana.

She informs me that Roger has had a bad bout of cancer but is now in remission and doing fine. He is under the care of a doctor at John Hopkins University. He visited her in August (2000-11-08).

Further information was provided (2004/03/03) by his sister, Carole, indicating that, in spite of care at Sloan Kettering in New York and experimental treatments at the University of Portland his cancer spread to his bones. He managed to live at home under the care of his wife, Roma, but secumbed (2004/02/08)after several years of suffering.
