"While reviewing some of Grandma Jensen's records, I put together some ofthe information I thought might be of interest.TRANSPORTATION: NEW VEHICLES1945 Chevy--$1,048.80--7/24/46---Purchased after WWII1949 Chevy--$950--(mid-blue)--traded in 46 Chevy--Roger took it to collegein 1953 and had it painted black1952 Chevy truck--$2185--(dark green) this truck was around until the 1984farm auction1953 Chevy--$1,509--(Grass green)1956 Chevy--$1,500--(Gold and light yellow)1961 Chevy--$2,049--(Turquoise)--totalled in a wreck in August, 1963 (Billiecut her eye ad spent several days in the hospital.) She informs me that Roger has had a bad bout of cancer but is now in remission and doing fine. He is under the care of a doctor at John Hopkins University. He visited her in August (2000-11-08).
Further information was provided (2004/03/03) by his sister, Carole, indicating that, in spite of care at Sloan Kettering in New York and experimental treatments at the University of Portland his cancer spread to his bones. He managed to live at home under the care of his wife, Roma, but secumbed (2004/02/08)after several years of suffering.
