The marriage date of Hannah and Robert is unknown. The first known birth
date was for Son Robert, born in 1823. There appears to be three children

Upon Robert's death, Hannah took her children and her brother Joel, 17 years,
to Conneaut, Ohio where they lived for several years. In later years Hannah

live with any of them. She lived in a small house close by her son, Robert.
Hannah was taken care of by Robert in her final years.

There is some question about the order of her given names. In the Petrie Bible in my possession she is registered as Theda Ethelyn Petrie. This order is also shown in "Memories of the Moores" (1990) by Mable Leota Moore Huntsinger and in a family tree and notes received from Gus (Irving Leroy) Dehnert in 1978 . Phillip H. Walker in "The Family Tree of Mary Hoffman and Harry Walker" (1972) shows only Theda. However. it appears that she went by the name Ethelyn or Ethel. Her family and near relativescalled her Ethel and that is how she signed her personal letters. In "The Mohawk Valley Petries and Allied Families" by Hazel Patrick (1979) her full name is given as Ethelyn Theda Petrie. This probably originated from her sister Olive Moore Petrie who made several contributions to Hazel's book.

In the summer of 1921 Elizabeth (Petrie) and Joseph Robertson and children travelled by Model T Ford from Strome, Alberta to Musselshell, Montana to visit Elizabeth's sister Ethelyn (Petrie) and Nelse Jensen and family.Recently, when Carole (Jensen) Feeley saw pictures of this 1921 trip she recalled certain events that occurred in her youth. In a letter dated August 30, 2004 she wrote:
"As a young child, I remember Grandpa Jensen walking across the dam to our house to get a bucket of water every day. As he aged, he would stop, lie down and rest once, then continue. Finally he was unable to make the trip and it became my job to take him a bucket of water on my bike. I must have been about 9 at that time. So, every day he would get whatever was left after the bucket rode dangling from the handle bar of my bike. I became a steady bike rider! All the water he had was that one bucket per day. It astounds me that anyone could get by with that little water. I enjoyed going over and it must have been a break in his day.Grandpa was not liked by the Petrie side of the family because of his drinking and the fact that his wife had to do a great share of the work. I remember Aunt Beth giving her version of their stay at the ranch in 1921. She was appalled at the fact that my grandmother had to carry all their water from the creek up the hill to the house. Uncle Joe did the toting of the water during their stay. I still remember her telling the story in our car while sitting in front of our house in a rainstorm and Aunt Beth crying, all those years later. It must have been sometime in the 1960s."
In another letter date September 13,2004 Carole wrote:
"The pictures are fascinating. I had never seen the pictures of the fourboys (see pictures for Helen Mary JENSEN) and the homestead shack. The writing on the picture identifies the shack as Grandpa Petrie's, I believe. Grandpa Jensen built his log home in two parts. We have a picture of him in front of the first portion. The next picture we have identified is the one you sent, which was taken in 1921 and the cabin has been completed. The second portion wasn't used later on, except as an entryway."
