According to ROUILLARD Nicholas was a land lord (Seigneur) at Trois-Pistoles, a title he inherited from his father, Jean RIOUX who was the first farmer to settle in the area, having moved from Ste-Famille, Ile d'Orléans, Québec in 1697.

Louise ASSELIN [Parents] was born on 24 Apr 1690. She married Nicolas RIOUX on 13 Oct 1710 in Ste-Famille, Quebec.

(m.1716).
