Jean and his wife Jeanne LOIGNON had 12 children between the years 1688 and
1713. Jean married for the second time to Marie-Francoise Dore 4 Nov. 1718Jean was the eldest of ten children.
TANGUAY (V.1, Pg.247) gives the death of Jean as 27 Aug 1717. This does not agree with that given in V.4, Pg. 136 and must be an error as he remarried in 1718.
Two of Jean's sons are your ancestors, making him your double ancestor. Son Jean's (b. 1688) daughter, Genevieve, married Joseph Dumont (Guéret) (b. 1722) who was an ancestor of Pepère (Jean Baptiste Sasseville). Son Antoine's (b. 1703) granddaughter, Victoire, married Henri ROY (b. 1763) who was an ancestor of Memère (Caroline Anne LEPAGE).
Jeanne LOIGNON [Parents] was born on 19 Jan 1671 in Ste-Famille, Ile d'Orleans, Quebec. She died on 10 Sep 1717. She married Jean GAGNON on 28 Oct 1686 in Quebec City, Quebec.

Tanguay shows her year of birth as 1611 in Vol. 1, page 395. This is
obviously incorrect as it does not correspond with birth dates of other
siblings in the family. He gives her birth date as 1671 in V.5 page 421.Jeanne LOIGNON or ALOIGNON gave birth to five children between the years 1688
and 1710.

Nicolas had a brother, Jacques, born in 1621 and a sister, Geneviève, born in
1635 and married to Julien Fortin in 1652. The brother was in the seigneurie de Beaupré in 1681. Considering the birth year of Jacques, their parents must have been married about 1620 and born around the turn of the century.Two daughters of Nicolas and Elizabeth-Ursule are of interest: Geneviève was your ancestor while her sister, Marie Marguerite-Geneviève, was the ancestor of Céline Dion. November 5, 1662 died October 12, 1663 at the age of 14 years.He remarried in 1669 to Anne PETIT who gave birth to seven children between the years 1671 and 1686. She was your ancestor. Actually she and Joachin are your double ancetors as two of their daughters, Marie-Anne and Catherine-Françoise, both are your ancestors.
Joachin must have died about 1690 as his second wife, Anne, remarried to Antoine Juchereau August 16, 1691.
Anne Charlotte PETIT [Parents].Anne married Joachim MARTIN on 16 Jun 1669 in Quebec City, Quebec.

Tanguay shows year of birth for Pierre-Denis as 1621 in V. 1, page 5, and as
1631 in V. 1, page 395. The latter appears more reasonable as young people,
in those early years, tended to marry young. He married in 1652, most likely
at the age of 21 years.Pierre-Denise is your triple ancestor. Two of his daughters, Marie-Anne
and Jeanne, are your ancestors. The lines from these two sisters converge some
six and seven generations later with the marriage of Henri DUMONT, descendant
of Jeanne, and Angelique LEVESQUE, descendant of Marie-Anne. However,
Marie-Anne has two grandchildren, Marie COTE and Prisque COTE, both of whom are

Françoise ROUSSIN [Parents] was born in 1636. She died on 4 Dec 1691. She married Pierre-Denise ALOIGNON on 8 Oct 1652 in Quebec City, Quebec.

Francoise was the eldest of four children.
There is some question about her date of birth. Tanguay shows her, in her
father's family record, as being born in 1636. She was married in 1652 so her
age would be 16 years. However, under her husband's record her birth date is
given as 1631, the same as her husband. Is this merely a copying error, or
did she cheat a bit to make her age 21 years when she married in 1652?She gave birth to seven children between 1663 and 1676. Her first child
appears to have been born in 1663, 11 years after marriage!
